Low Shao Ying and Low Shao Suan

Shao Suan and Shao Ying are extremely accomplished pianists and performers. They are currently learning pop music arrangement from professional music arranger Eric Wong of InTune Music School.
The twin sisters studied the piano under Madam YEO Bee Choo, Mr. ONG Lip Tat and Mr. Benjamin LOH, and obtained their Licentiate of the Trinity College of London (LTCL), Fellowship of the Trinity College of London (FTCL) and Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in piano performing and piano accompanying. They furthered their musical studies in Paris under the Lee Foundation and the National Arts Council (NAC) Grant at the famed École Normale de Musique de Paris-Alfred CORTOT, where they studied piano with the late Mme. Annie d'ARCO and the late Mr. Julian RIDORET, and chamber music under Madam Chantal de BUCHY.
Since their return in 1994, the sisters have performed regularly as soloists, as well as chamber musicians, both locally and abroad. They were also soloists with the SSO and the European Baroque Chamber Ensemble in Portugal. In December 2006, they performed at the “Asia Grand Piano Concert” in Seoul, Korea, where their composition, “Rondo for 3 Pianos 12 Hands“, was being showcased. The concert was held at the Seoul Arts Centre Concert Hall, and it was broadcasted, “live”, on national television.
As active accompanists and chamber musicians, Shao Suan and Shao Ying have collaborated with local and international musicians and vocalists from the SSO, Singapore Armed Forces Central Band, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Singapore Lyric Opera, the International Festival Chorus, and the Singapore Press Holdings Chinese Choir. They are currently members of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music accompanying staff.
In addition to teaching piano and doing piano accompaniment, Shao Suan and Shao Ying also compose songs in their free time. In April 2007, Shao Ying’s instrumental composition, “In My Dreams”, won the Soundtrack Contest on Broadjam, an independent website. As avid songwriters, the sisters have also collaborated with well-known Canadian producer-songwriter, Vincent DEGIORGIO (the person behind the success of pop group N'SYNC), writing songs for regional and international singers such as Jolin TSAI, Suzanne HSIAO, CHEN Yi Yi and Japanese singer MINK. The sisters are also members of the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS). Their music can be heard on www.broadjam.com/shaosuanlow and www.broadjam.com/shaoyinglow.
