Desmond You

Desmond You specializes in the art of DJ-ing, and is the epitomy of a passionate musician. He started his life as a DJ at the age of 16, and has since taken part in several DJ competitions and gigs worldwide. He used to be the resident DJ at Chinoiserie, a renowned club at Grand Hyatt. He is currently spinning at popular beach club Café Del Mar at Sentosa Singapore, entertaining the vibrant clubbers into the wee hours of the night. Desmond is also passionate about educating the musical talents of Singapore, conducting DJ lessons to students both young and old.

In terms of production experience, Desmond is a veteran recording engineer with over 20 years of experience in the music and recording industry. He is the founder and owner of LOOP System Sound Studios, a digital state-of-the art recording studio that boasts a clientele which includes local & foreign artistes as well as corporate companies. Desmond has worked with artistes and clientele such as Sandy Lam, A-Mei, Gigi Leung, Jeff Chang, Dick Lee, In-A-Chord and Local A Cappella Group Budak Pantai, just to name a few.

Desmond hopes that by teaching this DJ course, he will be able to uncover local DJ talents, and also to inspire those who are passionate in music to pursue their dreams and to live a life of music and excitement!
